About Me

Hi, I’m Lissa.

I’m a New Yorker through and through, who’s lived in Allentown and Prague, and is spending the next six months in Orlando working at Walt Disney World. I’m an alumna of Muhlenberg College with a double major in English and Film Studies and a minor in Asian Studies. I’ve also studied screenwriting at FAMU.

I’m equal parts creative and academic, and throughout my life I hope to shape stories, and teach and improve our cultural narrative. I mainly write psychological, surreal, and darkly comedic prose and scripts. Film criticism is close to my heart, and my main academic focuses are: transnational studies, remix/adaptation, satire, cult cinema, animation, fan cultures, and race politics.

Beyond my passions for writing, media studies, and social justice, I also love traveling (9 countries and counting!), photography, cooking, thrifting, and reading. I’m currently self-teaching myself CSS, hand-lettering, and have fallen down the philosophy rabbit-hole.

I desire to be inspired, to always have a reason to be ambitious, to prove the impossible simply unlikely, have excellent conversations and fulfilling debates, and to be surrounded by interesting environments.

On this site, you will find my recent projects and ways to contact me. Enjoy!
